Harapan, new ABS-CBN show

Ted Failon

Ted Failon, in rather biased outspokeness in the new ABS-CBN programme alongside with veteran partner Korina Sanchez.

The pilot episode of Harapan, aired just an hour ago, features the Princess of the Stars capsizing and the horrible massacre in Batanags.

The show is a Filipino-language confront-the-authority genre that features the excellence of Failon and Sanchez. As always, these two veteran journalist continue their spree of battling the guys in weight and of guilt, which is a good work. They tend to overpower the show by airing such gestures and opinions that can be considered by some, tough, so tough. Yet they handled it effectively. Their team up is always this good.

But the flaws are seen, shorter period of guests speaking, and they always tend to look to the 'people' side of the story than relegating to the issue itself, making such pleading of the masses seems a practised manner in television. Yet they were able to stand guest of high calibre in the show, the time alloted for each guests is limited and seems their coming to the show is useless, to the point they had uttered only one or two sentences onlyu. What a disgrace.

But still the ability of the show to offer new format where the actors and the stakeholders meet and greet each other is inviting. And to speak too, Korina and Ted, had been so engaged in the topic that they become singers of change to be done by their gustes.

The effetcs and the voice over are simply annoying, but I do love the effects.

Yet this is the first run, lets see what Harapan can do in the coming future.
